A carefully crafted blend of classic one drop reggae sensibilities with forward-thinking instrumentation and production, Deep Cover takes up where City Life left off. If you want to know what reggae will sound like five years from now,this is it. Deep Cover features six of Jamaica’s most talented and relevant vocalists, including I-Octane, Busy Signal and Agent Sasco aka Assassion. These established names are joined by rising stars Konshens and Natel as well as sultry songstress Denyque.
Singles Vol. 1 collects a range of Jamaican talent and styles on an easy to digest six-song release. Produced by Jeremy “MisterHarding” Harding and Nigel “Sleepy Splu” Staff, the album kicks off with the breakout radio hit “Hooked On Me” from rising vocalist Denyque. Elephant Man follows with the catchy street tune “Snap”, and Beenie Man, Assassin and Laden all offer something for the dancehall massive as well. Sultry diva Alaine closes out the set with another radio smash “Dance With Me”.
